The Diboll Ladyjacks traveled to Tarkington this past week for some tournament action. The Ladyjacks finished 8th out of 28 teams and saw some great rallies this weekend. The Ladyjacks are led by senior Co-Captians Lily Estrada and Kyna Rios both in their 4th year of varsity level experience.
Rios led the Ladyjacks in offense with 103 assists, 18 aces, and 29 kills followed by junior Analia Hernandez with 13 aces and 28 kills. Junior Karla Gonzalez contributed 6 aces and 26 kills, sophomore Carizma Whitehead chipped in 18 kills, sophomore Jameah Robertson had 13 kills and senior Nylah Wyatt had 14 kills before her weekend was cut short with an ankle injury. Estrada led the defense with an impressive 85 digs, followed by Hernandez with 65 digs, Rios with 62 digs, and senior Aryssa Vasquez with 53 digs. Contributing defensively on the net Robertson had 3 block assists and a solo block, Gonzalez with 2 block assists and 2 solo blocks with Rios, Hernandez, and Vasquez each pitching in with a block assist.
The Ladyjacks will travel to New Waverly today and will play in the Hudson tournament this weekend.
